In order to make sure a prospective Transition Coaching client's needs and wants can be met, Think Well offers a free consultation. During this consultation, a prospective client's general goals are briefly reviewed and the fit between coach and client is evaluated by both parties. If a prospective client and coach agree the Transition Coaching services being offered work well with the client's stated goals and a good fit exists, then an initial session is scheduled.
The first appointment, also known as the initial session or intake, involves the client and coach exploring in further depth the client's goals. This includes going over what the client wishes to gain from Transition Coaching overall as well as finalizing what the client wants to start working on first. A plan of approach is developed from what is discussed and the initial frequency of visits is determined.
In Transition Coaching, the length of follow-up sessions and their frequency is determined by both the coach and client. For Transition Coaching clients, the following session lengths are the most frequently offered and chosen:
* 30-minute session
* 60-minute session
* 90-minute session

Once the desired progress is reached on the transition in question, the Transition Coaching client either graduates from coaching altogether or chooses another brand of coaching, such as Personal Growth Coaching, to continue with.
